At our restaurant beneath Fatih Terim Stadium in Başakşehir you'll find spicy or mild lahmacun, bite-size fındık and ceviz lahmacun, pide and takeaway lahmacun every day until midnight, and until 01:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.
What is lahmacun like in Gaziantep cuisine?
In Gaziantep cuisine the dough is rolled thin, the minced-meat topping is spread over it in a thin layer, and it bakes in a few minutes in a very hot oven. The edges turn crisp while the middle stays soft. The clearest difference between Antep lahmacun and Urfa lahmacun is the topping: garlic in Antep, onion in Urfa.
It comes to the table with lemon, parsley and greens; some roll it up, some slice it. Our menu has spicy and mild versions.
Fındık and ceviz lahmacun
Fındık lahmacun is a palm-sized lahmacun named after the hazelnut; ceviz lahmacun, named after the walnut, is a little larger. Both are ordered as a hot starter or to share at a busy table.
Pide
From the oven we also have pide with kaşar cheese, pide with diced meat and pide with both. They can be ordered alongside lahmacun and shared.
Hot starters and meze
İçli köfte, dolma and çiğ köfte go well with lahmacun; among the meze, try haydari, abagannuş, şakşuka, purslane and spicy atom.
