Katmer and künefe in Başakşehir
At Lezzet-i Şark Gusto, simit katmer and katmer are made with Antep pistachios and kaymak, for one or two people. At our restaurant beneath Fatih Terim Stadium in Başakşehir, künefe, paşa künefe, fıstıkzade and hasır kaymak are also available every day until midnight, and until 01:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.
What is simit katmer?
Katmer is a Gaziantep dessert made by folding paper-thin dough with kaymak and Antep pistachios and baking it. Simit katmer uses a generous amount of finely ground pistachios.
In Gaziantep, katmer is mostly eaten at breakfast; with us you can order it all day, until midnight, and until 01:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Katmer and simit katmer come for one or two people.
Künefe
Künefe is made with shredded kadayıf and melting cheese, sweetened with syrup and sprinkled with pistachios. Our menu has a single portion, a medium size for two or three, and a large size for four or five; at a busy table the large one goes in the middle.
Paşa künefe comes in the same sizes.
Fıstıkzade, hasır kaymak and Antep atom
Fıstıkzade and hasır kaymak are also on our dessert menu, as a single serving or in a large size for bigger tables. The house Antep atom and the banana atom are on the menu too.
What to have with dessert
We serve tea and Turkish coffee with dessert. Katmer and künefe come hot; at a busy table, ordering a few different desserts to share is the best way to enjoy them.
